The Current Trustees
The current Trustees are:
- John Garbutt, Marketing Director of Kingspan Insulation Limited;
- Ken Myers, Vice Chair of Pembridge Parish Council;
- John Pudge, Chair of Kingsland Parish Council
- Phil Sharp, Chair of Shobdon Parish Council;
- Rob Widdicombe, Proprietor of Border Ecology, Presteigne; and
- Bill Wiggin, MP for Leominster, which includes Pembridge, Shobdon and Kingsland.
How the Trustees are Chosen
The Trustees of the Kingspan Insulation Community Trust have been determined so as to:
- reflect the interests of the Communities that the Trust seeks to assist;
- reflect the interests of the source of funding; and
- provide knowledge in the areas that the objectives of the Trust cover.
If the Chairs of the Parish Councils are unable or unwilling to act as Trustees then the Parish Councils are at liberty to propose an alternative Trustee from the members of the relevant Parish Council.
If the Member of Parliament is unwilling or unable to act as a Trustee then that Trusteeship will remain vacant.
The source of funding, Kingspan Insulation Limited, is represented by a Director or Senior Manager of Kingspan Insulation.
The main area in which the Trust expects to need specialist knowledge is that of ecology and biodiversity and to that end a local expert in this field will be invited to act as a Trustee.
